Unity Line is the greatest Polish carrier in the cargo branch. The ferries which are under the company’s management take more than 65% of all freight across the Baltic Sea – all the railway transport between Poland and Sweden and more than 63% of lorry transport.
The main tasks of the Financial and Accounting Section are providing the Company with accounting and financial services, as the fulfilment of financial policy created by the company's management.
Within the responsibility of the department are the accounts in passenger and goods shipment, the ship owners' accounts, fiscal accounts and human resources management.
Reliability and professionalism
The Department of Financial and Accounting Section's staff are factually prepared to provide accounting and financial services; mostly book-keeping for business entities, accounting consultancy and tax advisory services. We are experienced in drawing up financial reports consistent not only with Polish Accounting Act but also International Financial Reporting Standards.
Verification of our financial reports was carried out by such companies as: Deloitte&Touche, Ernest & Young, PriceWaterhouseCoopers, KPMG, Re-Fin.

The prepared and introduced system of operational reporting and company budgeting enables instant analysis of the situation and financial condition of the Company. Modern solutions in the field of management accounting which are applied by us give a strong basis for taking optimal business decisions as regards to company management on all levels. We work on the latest ERP programmes available, but also on modules created inside our Section, by our own information technologists.

The wide range of services and tasks delegated to the employees of the Section drew up the framework of our mission: to be a reliable tax and accounting advisor, so that the evolving economical, legal and fiscal environment does not have a negative influence over the assumed plans of development and building the company's brand name. Highly-qualified staff
The team consists of experts of high professional qualifications. Most of our employees have certificates from the Ministry of Finance, which entitle them to bookkeeping. They also have confirmation of their qualifications as regards to tax and accounting advisory services.An additional task that the team sets for themselves is the constant learning and improving of professional skills and maintaining the right level of professionalism.
